Doula Support

Doulas are for every family and every kind of birth. I support women across Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey through pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum with calm, intuitive, culturally-aware care. Whether you’re preparing for birth, wanting grounding support on your birthing day or needing gentle guidance as you settle into life with your newborn, I’m here for you.

The images you see below were captured by me while supporting families as their doula, it is an optional part of the care I offer.

£34/h | Postnatal Doula Support

blocks of 12h for £384 or 20h for £600

Just as I support families in preparing for birth and during labor, I also offer emotional and practical support during the postnatal period. I guide new parents through the early stages of family life by providing essential assistance both day and night.

Nighttime Support

Nighttime care is there to give you the deeper rest your body and mind truly need. It can look like taking over nappy changes, settling and even feeding if baby is bottle-fed or combination-fed. So you can enjoy longer uninterrupted stretches of sleep.

If your baby allows and it would support you, I can also quietly reset the space: tidying the kitchen or dinner things, preparing breakfast for the morning, restocking nappy stations, folding laundry - anything that brings ease while keeping the night calm and quiet.

I arrive at a time that suits your family and follow your preferred routines, keeping everything gentle and quiet while ensuring both you and your baby feel held, supported and safe throughout the night.

Daytime Support

During the day, my role is to bring calm, practical help and emotional steadiness into your home. The support looks different for every family, but often includes:

  • Supporting you with feeding your baby - whether you're breastfeeding, bottle feeding, expressing or finding a combination that works for you.

  • Holding and settling your baby so you can rest, shower or simply take a moment to breathe, gently helping you find your own natural rhythms and offering grounding support through the emotional waves that postpartum can bring.

  • Helping with older children, light housework and preparing nourishing home-cooked meals so you can focus fully on healing, bonding, and easing into life with your newborn.

I’m here to support families in whatever way works best for you - whether that’s a few hours a week or more full-time help over several months. My aim is to gradually step back as you grow more confident in your new role, adjusting my hours as needed. But even when I’m not with you, I’m always just a phone call away for any advice or reassurance you might need.

Unlike a nanny or maternity nurse, a postnatal doula offers more than just baby care. I’m here to nurture and empower the whole family, with a special focus on the mother's needs for healing, recovery and supported feeding - whatever that looks like for your family. I’ll make sure you’re well-rested, well-nourished and always have someone to talk to. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel fully cared for during this tender time.

Please note that I do not provide medical advice or use any sleep-training methods that involve leaving your baby to cry alone. All bookings for blocks of hours are non-refundable. Travel costs may be added for journeys of an hour or more. All details will be discussed and agreed together before we begin working together.

As your birth doula, I am here to walk alongside you with calm, personalised support, based on your birth preferences and needs. I help create a safe, protected birth space, offering gentle guidance, reassurance and evidence-based information, while honouring your intuition and empowering you to make decisions that feel right for you throughout your birth journey. This service includes:

£1500 | Birth + Postnatal Doula Support

Various payment plans are possible

As your birth and postnatal doula, I’m here to provide calm, caring and continuous support throughout your journey - this offer includes full birth preparation, labour and birth support and postnatal care.

Birth Doula Support:

From the moment you choose me as your birth doula, my priority is to help you feel prepared, empowered and fully supported. I’ll be available for any questions, concerns or just a listening ear throughout your pregnancy. We’ll meet for at least three personalised birth preparation sessions (usually around 2 hours each), designed to clear away confusing or misleading information and help your body and mind reconnect with their natural ability for childbirth. Together, we’ll discuss your birth preferences, explore different comfort techniques and build a plan that makes you feel confident and ready.

I will provide on-call support 24/7 during your labor and birth, commencing 3 weeks prior to your due date and continuing until the arrival of your baby. When labor begins, I’ll be by your side - either at home or in the hospital/birthing centre - offering emotional, informational, physical and practical support, while creating a safe, protected birth space. Whether it’s a reassuring presence or making sense of changing circumstances - my role is to help you and your birth partner feel calm, grounded and empowered throughout the experience.

Postnatal Doula Support:

After your baby arrives, I’ll continue to support you as your postnatal doula, helping create gentle first hours together with your baby, supporting breastfeeding and guiding you as you adjust to your new life. This includes up to 10 hours of postnatal support over six weeks, tailored to your evolving needs. Whether it’s helping with newborn care, feeding support or lending a hand around the house, I’ll be there to provide practical help and emotional support. My goal is to ensure you’re nourished, rested and have someone to talk to about anything on your mind. As you grow more confident in your new role, we’ll gradually adjust my level of support - but I’ll always be just a phone call away.

My goal is to offer personalised, nurturing support that meets your unique needs. From the challenges of labor to the adjustment period after birth, I’m here to make sure you and your family feel cared for and ready for this incredible new chapter with your baby.

My everything in Postpartum. When my second baby was born in 2024, I was bracing myself for the chaos, exhaustion, and emotional whirlwind that inevitably follow childbirth. What I wasn’t expecting was to be blessed with someone like Julia — someone who not only supported me, but became my entire village… no, scratch that — ten villages.  From the moment Julia walked into my home, it felt like a wave of positivity had entered with her. Her warm, radiant smile in our zoom interview was the first sign that everything was going to be okay. Without asking too many questions — because she instinctively knew I was too drained to answer — she tuned into my pain points and quietly, powerfully started lifting the weight off my shoulders. Her presence was a perfect balance of support and respect for privacy. She took care of me, my newborn, and my entire family with such grace and deep understanding. Julia motivated me to reach my breastfeeding goals — a journey that brought me immense fulfillment and joy as a mother. And she didn’t stop at encouragement — she coached me, educated me, empowered me. Julia didn’t simply give me answers when I was overwhelmed. She guided me, helped me find my footing, and taught me to trust myself as a mother. In that process, she became much more than a postpartum support — she became a confidant, someone I could turn to not just with baby concerns, but also parenting. Our conversations started with sleep schedules and latch techniques, and soon evolved into discussions about home renovations, parenting philosophies, and the beautiful, messy intricacies of family life. Julia is a woman who genuinely cares, who pours her heart into supporting families during one of the most sacred and vulnerable times in their lives.
I can say with full conviction and all the gratitude in my heart: if you arefortunate enough to have Julia by your side, you are in the best hands. She will help you create not just routines, but beautiful memories with your newborn. She will help you rediscover your strength, and your peace.
