Doula Support

Birth and postnatal support for women who want to breathe out and feel genuinely looked after - not just ticked off a list.

From the moment we meet, I'm there for you.

During pregnancy we get to know each other. I help you untangle the fears and uncertainties so that by the time labour begins, you already trust yourself. I'm there between our conversations too - holding you in mind, catching things before they spiral.

When labour starts I come to you - day or night, early labour or well established. A calm, familiar presence keeps everything steady before the fear has a chance to take hold.

I protect your space, your peace, your dignity. I'm often quietly there - and you might barely notice me until you surface from labour land and need a reminder that you're safe.

After your baby arrives I stay. I make sure you are warm, looked after and heard. I'll feed you something nourishing - not the famous NHS toast - and when the time comes, I'll let you rest.

In the days and weeks that follow, I'm still here. Not just for your baby - for you. For the feeding questions, the emotional waves, the moments when you need someone who genuinely understands what you're going through. I step back gradually as your confidence grows. But I'm always just a call away.

Birth Doula Support

£800 - £1,200

On-call support from three weeks before your due date until your baby arrives. I come to you wherever you birth - at home, in a birth centre or hospital. This package is ideal for women who feel generally prepared and have postnatal support already in place.

Postnatal Doula Support

£34/hour

20 hours £640

Day and night support in your home during those tender first weeks - serving families across Hampshire, West Sussex and surrounding areas.

Practical, warm and completely led by what you and your family need. I don't arrive with an agenda - I arrive and we decide what would help most that moment that day.

Night time support - so you can sleep. Really sleep. I take over nappy changes, settling and feeding where possible, and quietly reset the space while you rest.

Daytime support - feeding support, holding your baby while you shower or rest, helping with older children, light housework and nourishing home-cooked meals. Emotional steadiness when the waves come.

Unlike a nanny or maternity nurse, I'm here for the whole family - with a special focus on you. Your healing, your confidence, your peace.

Birth + Postnatal Doula Support

The full journey - from our first conversation through to those first weeks of motherhood. Birth preparation, on-call labour support and up to 10 hours of postnatal care over six weeks, woven together into one continuous, unhurried presence.

The difference isn't just the hours. It's that by the time your baby arrives, I already know you. And I'm still there long after.

This is for the woman who wants to feel genuinely held from beginning to end.

Please note: I do not provide medical advice or use sleep-training methods that involve leaving your baby to cry alone. Blocks of hours are non-refundable. Travel costs may be added for journeys of an hour or more. All details will be discussed and agreed before we begin.

The photographs below are mine - real moments from real families, captured quietly during pregnancy visits, births and postnatal care. An optional part of the care I offer, for those who want their story remembered.

"Having Julia by my side during my labour and through my pregnancy was the best decision I could have made, I only felt gutted that I hadn’t found her for my first pregnancy and will be calling on her again for any future pregnancies!
From the outset I felt so at ease and listened to as if she was an old friend, but at the same time her knowledge and expertise in pregnancy and labour was a phenomenal help and confidence. I strongly believe that childbirth should be an experience that people are excited for not scared of and feel deeply sad that so many women have such a negative experience. Due to her support and advice my labour was 4 hours long and didn’t involve a hospital visit. (Which was all I wanted!)
People like Julia are far and few between, whilst she sheds light on the issues with medicalised birth she remained completely neutral when talking about this matter and prompted me to ask questions (or asked questions for me if needed) rather than make accusations or assume that anyone suggesting medical intervention was wrong or with bad intention. I felt through the whole experience I had a strength and support behind whatever I was feeling and a help to decide in key moments what would be best for me and my baby / family.
She was objective, yet compassionate from the get go.If everyone could have a Julia to go though this special time with them, there would be no negative stigma around giving birth. I would recommend her every time.
Fabulous, straight-forward, gentle, confident, compassionate, human."

Before anything else, let's just have a conversation. No commitment, no pressure - just a chance to get to know each other and see if it feels right.
